Among other things, iPause

I have been looking for a ‘pause button’, honestly. And I looked everywhere and I tried everything. I drowned myself in social media, kept myself quite isolated and kept all windows shut. But, I swear, there is no ‘pause button’ in life. No matter what I did, I could not stop life from happening. It put me through tough challenges, like it puts everyone through. I wasn’t an exception, after all. Life treated me like it treated everyone else – indiscriminately, unfairly – and sometimes surprising me with rewards I didn’t think I deserved.
I don’t think life is all about getting stronger or it is all about moving forward and getting better. I have learnt it is a process, where you move back and forth. Between strength and weariness, between what lies ahead and what is left behind, between wounds and pleasures, between the better and the worse.
So here I am, sounding all wise but I am struggling, making mistakes anddd still searching for that pause button from time to time :P so it is mostly between being a hypocrite and being honest to thyself too u_u (at least for me :\)

That's all for now :D Next post....will be up within an inconsistent period of time -_-;

  1. I think, if like treats indiscriminately then it ain't unfair right? Correct me if I am wrong.

    Coz it would be unfair when it will discriminate.

    P.S: Friday night, nothing to do! My stalking skills reach another level. :)

    1. My views about life have changed quite a bit since I posted this but I will still tell you indiscriminate unfairness is not equal to fair. If that were the case Hitler would be considered fair too, he hated all Jews and wanted to hunt them all down indiscriminately, right :)

  2. Wow! How I had something to say just a moment ago but reading the comment above made me realise its actual application.

    In any case, I'll state what I was about to, from my existentialist perspective. Why is giving some sort of meaning to "life" such a significant thing one needs to do? We are living because of the way the galaxy acted and beings started living on earth and evolved over several thousand years. We have this level of consciousness since we developed it over the years through cognition and our experiences. Without digressing towards epistemology I'd like to get to the moot point. If you really want to put things (or what you call "life") into perspective, start afresh with the most simple ideas about your existence as a person and then find your ways to "fit" in this civilization that we have created. Perhaps, you might find your pause, or you might realise that you don't need one.
    Anyway, it's been more than half a year since you posted this so I'm guessing you've moved past the thought, or the blog, or both.

    1. Thank you for your thoughts! I have pretty much moved on from the perception I held on life, last year :) I like the way you think :)
